The Future of Tire Technology Spirit of Driving REINFORCED SIDEWALL. The RFT advanced rubber compound and tire cord is stronger than a regular tire sidewall. Because the tire can support the vehicle without air, a sudden deflation results in less weight transfer and tread destabilization. Steering and handling remain near normal. HEAT-RESISTANT TIRE BEAD COMPOUND. The RFT tire compound resists heat build-up under zero pressure driving conditions enabling you to drive an extended distance until the tire is replaced. WIDER TIRE BEAD. The wider RFT tire bead firmly holds the tire in place on the wheel flange preventing tire bead separation from the wheel. These self-supporting run-flat tires have been developed for drivers of performance vehicles and SUVs looking for the extra element of safety and convenience. Built for vehicles equipped with TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), Landsail RFT tires feature reinforced sidewalls along with wider tire beads manufactured with a low temperature rubber compound. Landsail Run Flat Tires (RFT) are now available in our most popular passenger performance tires – the LS388, LS588 and LS988. Quik-Link: 800-687-1557 ext. 17120
