But that's exactly what our No. 1 news item did. Web readers were keenly interested in how the International Trade Commission (ITC) reversed its earlier decision and ruled the U.S. tire market is indeed being harmed by the import of truck and bus tires from China. The ITC took no time in implementing new countervailing and antidumping duties ranging from 9% to 63.34%. Other top items again focused on the big names in the industry. Here are our top 10 news items for the past month. 1. ITC reverses course and says Chinese truck tires hurt U.S. industry 2. Les Schwab no longer holds exclusive rights to Toyo in northwest U.S. 3. K&M Tire thrives in a year of disruption for tire distribution 4. Goodyear will sell commercial tires online in 3Q 5. 2018 was another big year for Chinese truck tires in the U.S. 6. Bridgestone's new Akron plant will produce 30,000 Firehawk tires a year 7. Acquisitions had a big effect on Michelin in 2018 8. Monro acquired 52 stores in 10 months 9. Goodyear's earnings double in 2018 10. Cooper's net income and sales are down year-over-year The United Steelworkers union (USW) filed a formal complaint in 2016 saying imports were harming the U.S. truck tire market. Initially, the ITC voted not to impose tariffs. ©GETTYIMAGES.COM/ANNECORDON
