I n a move American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) says reflects its evolution to date and accelerates the company's ongoing transformation to becoming "the most connected and insightful automotive solu- tions provider in the industry," the company has realigned its senior leadership team. In the newly created role of chief operat- ing officer, Owen Schiano will lead ATD's U.S. field sales team and the company's supply chain operations across North America. Schiano will continue overseeing ATD's corporate, strategic, customer service and specialty sales teams, in addition to Tire Pros and supply chain operations. Keith Calcagno will focus on merchan- dising and marketing in conjunction with manufacturer partners in the newly created role of chief merchant and strategy officer. He will continue overseeing the develop- ment of ATD's transformation strategy and the company's project management office, which drives efficiencies and speed-to- market for strategic initiatives for ATD customers and suppliers. As chief digital and technology officer, Ivy Chin will focus on unifying ATD's technology and digital ecosystems, includ- ing the business-to consumer TireBuyer. com platform. CTDA chooses new directors T he California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) introduced its new board of directors during an April 25 meeting hosted by Turbo Wholesale Tires Inc. in Irwindale. Billy Eordekian, president of 1-800Every- Rim-OEM Wheels, will serve as CTDA president. Chris Barry of the Independent Tire Dealer Group (ITDG) becomes past president. Paul Arellano, with Lakin Tire West Inc., will continue serving as vice president, and Daniel "Al" Martinez of National Tire Warehouse is the new secretary/treasurer. Leeds West Groups names leaders to oversee Midas and Big O Tires L eeds West Groups (LWG) has restructured its operations, resulting in the promo- tions of five leaders, including two who will oversee the company's Midas and Big O Tires divisions. Timothy Moran is in charge of the Leeds West Groups' Midas division. Moran has served as vice president of the company's Midas Division East Coast, as well as of its Big O Tires division. James Gould is vice president of the Leeds West Group Big O Tires division, where he will oversee all day-to-day operations. Matt Lee is director of East Coast Midas, a promotion from his previous role as district manager of the Midas division in Connecticut. Ben Oliver is director of the company's Mid-West Midas division responsible for the Midas market in Chicago, as well as all of the locations in the division. Brendan LaBarre was promoted from store manager of the company's highest volume Midas store, which is in Norwalk, Conn., to district manager of Midas loca- tions in Connecticut. Judd Kyle Shader is CEO of Leeds West Group, which is based in Greenwood Village, Colo. e company has more than 85 automotive retail locations in 16 states, primarily under the Midas and Big O Tires franchises from TBC Corp., and also the SpeeDee Oil Change banner. ■
