MTD September 2015 Denso expands compressor coverage Denso Products and Ser- vices Americas Inc. added 14 part numbers to its air con- ditioning (AC) compressor program in 2015, covering 6 million vehicles and over 200 applications. The additions increase Denso's total AC compressor offering to 576 part numbers. The additions cover Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Jeep, Mercury and Nissan applications. The expanded coverage adds an additional 3 million UIO (units in operation) for a total program of over 175 million UIO. DENSO PRODUCTS AND SERVICES AMERICAS INC. Electronic refrigerant leak detector Tracer Products' TP-9364 Pro-Alert IR electronic refrigerant leak detector is certifed to meet the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) J2791 and J2913 standards. The TP-9364 Pro-Alert IR uses a state-of-the-art infrared sensor to accurately detect refrigerant leaks down to 0.1 oz./year (3 g./year). A three-position sensitivity switch minimizes false triggering and allows for easy diagnosis of small, medium and large leaks. The company says the unit is sensitive to R-12, R-134a, R-1234yf and other refrigerants. The new Grabber HTS60 replaces the Grabber HTS and features up to 25% improved tread life. The company says the newest addition to the Grab- ber line of tires offers extremely well balanced product performance with signifcantly improved tread life over its predecessor. Metric sizes are optimized for ride quality and traction while the LT sizes are optimized for stability and grip under heavy loads. The Grabber HTS60 offers up to a 65,000 limited mileage warranty. The estimating software uses Mitchell labor for job times. Service intervals, both severe and normal, are included. The six AZ850 sizes are YR speed rated. The sizes are 245/50R18 104Y XL; 255/55R18 109Y XL; 265/50R19 110Y XL; 265/50R20 109Y XL; and 295/40R21 111Y XL. The company says the new sizes in the AZ800 range cover a cross section of vehicles from the last 10 years.
